Uwe Kassel did send me a pic from his Sylvester ride. He was all enthusiastic over his FJ40 (I assume he wasn't refuelling yet ;-)

Today I decided to take a look at the beavers round here.
The trail forebodes the condition the meadows are in: bottomless mud! I decided previously to lower the tire pressure down to 1.2 bars to have a low ground-pressure.

Children, beware of grasslands smacking while walking!

Well, and here we have a small lunch of them beavers...

Daniel and his HiLux dropped us a note after finishing Langenaltheim on worn-out tires without getting stuck - caused by the fitting of a PowerTrax LockRight - he sent in a pic as well:

And the LockRight is HERE!

September 12th - 14th, 2003

Bushtaxi-Meeting!

For the first - who hasn't joined this one has a problem - now.

There were more than 300 vehicles and 400 visitors at three days. We put some of the best pictures together below:

This is only a partial view of the complete area. For those of you willing to get REAL angry on missing this one we have pasted a panorama view below:

(A Click on the picture will lead you to the full-size view but watch out! 3.3Megs!)

Here the Members of ATLC brought some of their gems along. The utmost best one was the perfect retorated FJ55 ('Iron Pig') on the right.

A Desert-Duo - nice look.

This is Gerd's monster.

Garcon from Luxembourg came along with his newly rebuilt BJ42 based upon one of our Aqualu Aluminum-Bodies.

This car was as bright and new - there wasn't even flydirt on the hood! The complete Story of the rebuilt can be found HERE.

The event took place near Fort-Fun Adventureworld so the smallest upon us had their fun, too....

...but nevertheless some of them were equipped appropriate ;-)

On the morning of the last day we had an impressive demonstration of a thermonuclear boiler which already is ceasing glowing here.

Altogether a great and big event and your first choice for next year!

All pics from us and other aprticipant can be foundHERE - please use a Downloadmanager!

Pictures from the sand pit meeting in Laubhof, Germnay (with loooots of sandflees ;-)

A beautiful 8x8 vehicle - even capable of swimming (but only in case the driver has enough champagne cork in his pocket ;-). A small video showing the driving dynamics of this bathtub can be seen here.

The mud pit - almost every sand flee had to be drowned here at least once.

A very nice DKW Munga with two stroke engine (what a fragrance this was!)

Here a nissan was lynched on the steeps - according to the motto 'forward ever - backward never!' - some videos of this execution are included within the package (see further down this page for the link). The winch operator mentioned 'he started it, now he has to finish it as well!'

At least, the hood almost made it over the top!

My green gherkin also did well - what the sandflees managed with full throttle and MT tires (but without lockers!) I did on the smooth way on four AT's, slight increased idle, low range and two PowerTrax Lockright - the power lies within coolness!

All pictures and video are available single and as a single big ZIP package HERE (attention, 24MB!).

And again next year!

Typical parking of our BJ42 ;-)

We have had a small 'Event'.

Our BJ42 with its automatic Lockers and our Hog-Trailer were shown and ready to test-drive.

It took place in the middle of the woods of 'Oberpfalz' in Bavaria. Around Noon Markus and his Girlfriend from nearby Nuremberg showed up together wih their Land-Rover 90

and lateron Markus (right) from nearby Pfaffenhofen enriched the Toyotans with his HZJ

Sorry to say, my DigiCam didn't allow more pictures after a night in the trailer at about -20deg Celsius, but I'll hope Markus will send me some of his pics.

We all had a nice time though Pit couldn't come due to job reasons. Nonetheless the good care from family Stiegler gave us a good lunch and a perfect coffee.

Ruud from the Netherlands is preparing his FJ40 - and lucky us we could put some parts into his project!
As you can see he's nearly ready. What sticks to the eye is that enomous fire-extinguisher. I assume he converted his FJ to CNG!

From the side - with Aqualu aluminum parts...

...and the front.

Well done!
