After a long journey over the sea the first complete body for a Toy LC has arrived in our facility, ready to be finally shipped to the customer.

...here you can see it still wrapped in wood - the bigger parcel in the rear of the body contains the windshield frame, sidesteps and the rear door.

The front look shows you the several holes for steering, brakes and cluthes as long as for the gearbox levers and the massive reinforcements under the body.

Next pictures will show you the unwrapped body along with the car being rebuild - take a look!

First step taken: mount the tank. You might want to take a look at the craftsmanship of the body and the resto!

A whole bunch of new pictures!

And this is how it looked like befor - really sad!

The hood and fenders were in a comparable good condition and were reused.

What a contrast this is!

Here you see the frame ready painted with new exhaust and shocks.

This is the blower at the firewall.

Mounted running board left.

A view from the venting hole, hood and fender. The two last ones were re-used.

Take a look at the firewall - many of the holes are already done at Aqualu - no need for excessive drilling!

Here a larger view.

This is the new aluminum windshield frame.

Tail door:

I'll come and get you!

Or not?

After these fitting works off we go painting!

Today was the day! On the Bushtaxi-Event 2003 Garcon Gilbert and his finished gem came along. Not more than two weeks after the paint had dried.

We all were astonished by the smooth and perfect finish he gave to his Toy - take a look yourself:

Garcon - a proud owner and his Cruiser.

You can't see she shinig paint on the pics and the perfect finish - the cam couldn't catch it as is was in real. There wasn't even dirt on the radiator!

Front detail with a completely brandnew softtop.

"... and here I'm gonna mount this'n'that..."

Shining inside and out.

You could take a lunch inside the footrest....

This one became a perfect work - ready for infinity. We all had many chances to look at the work presented here. Garcon hadn't to do much rework - the accuracy of the body was perfect according to his words.

He had two improvements regarding the gearbox and the rear side flashlights that never had been sold that way in Europe.

One detail: the places Toyota only had spot weldings placed originally Aqualu makes complete weildings all the way. You can't get that more durable!
