Tractech is the manufacturer of the Detroit series of locking differentials and LSD's.
The 'Detroit Locker' is a complete 100% positive locking automatic differential. Either wheel
requiering the most power gets it. Up to 100% torque.
The TrueTrac Model ist different. It delivers up to a miximum of 75% of the available power to
either wheel and therefore acts like a Limited Slip Differential (LSD). The power is distibuted by
helical gear sets - there are no clutches or friction material, no need for 'special LSD oil'!
The Detroit E-Z Locker™ and Detroit Gearless Locker™ keep the wheels locked together (except when
turning) so that together the left and right wheels, always deliver maximum traction to the ground;
neither wheel can spin out.
They allow different wheel speeds in a turn by disconnecting the faster - moving wheel (usually the
outside wheel which is ground - driven faster throughout the turn), driving the vehicle with the
other (inside) wheel.

Similir to the PowerTrax LockRight (as stated above), the E-Z Locker is a perfect product for the
occasional off-roader. It is easily installed by the mechanically inclined.
