Mission Ready at Garden & Landscape Services!
As the enthusiastic owner wrote me, the first hurry caused a tree to be tied down with his totals root being pulled out of the grund.
I'm thinking of selling such strong winches with profeesional advice only in the future! Last, he could put the chainsaw to a short rest ;-)
Off we go, now. One word to the scene being shown: cutting trees between houses. High trees, narrow spaces. Here you simply can't cut the tree and wait for the things to happen. You have to give the stem a precise direction to drop in order to prevent damage. So, tie the winch rope high on the tree, put a bit tension on and do the final cut.
Yikes! Mistake in the storyboard. Cutting trees usually is done with a chainsaw, not with a winch. Ok, get the root as add-on. Might happen in the heat of the action.
Next try:
Sawing, towing - KICK IT!
And for the fun of it all, pull away four trees on one.

Almost finished!
Everything fitted and mounted, filled up with oil, flushed, rope on spool and adjusted pressure. Only the way to the local authorities is left! Looking at the winch. See the manual throttle - protected but still reachable.
Front. The both tin ropes still hanging down lateron will protect the windshield from trunks reching into the trail.
This is a photo from the remote control of our saftey winch control with emergency cutoff. Every commercial usage must have such one!

Again a part of the way has been finished:
Hydraulic fluid tank is fitted, reinfordec wire rope and manual throttle have arrived.
Here are Mr. Tank, Throttle and Rope. The tank is manufactured for a perfect fit beneath the car and the rope is of extended length. With the manual throttle you may adjust a high idle to have appropriate power at work.
Take a look agan from beneath. You may notice the perfect fit of the tank. Since there ain't much room there for gadgets especially the revolving fryer is in the way :)
The control valve has found its final place in the engine compartment.
Take a look at the mounted winch and fairlead at the bumper:
In the meantime the Landy is leting it all hang out.
After mounting it all the appereance is quite a new one! Check out the manual throttle being fixed nearby the winch lateron.
To get it all running the pressure of the hydraulic pump is being checked and adjusted. Notice the size of the fairlead!
No, it ain't a small winch, it's a big fairlead!

This day work proceeded a bit further:
We installed PTO and hydraulic pump.

And all this takes place at a location where the big victories along with deepest dramas take place: on a lifting platform!
This is a shot from the rear facing forward showing the room round the tranny. The propshaft along with parts of the exhaust system have been dismantled to give proper access to the tranny itself.
You may now have a better look at the PTO and the hydraulic pump. Facing upwards is the linkage to engage the PTO.
Looking straight up you see the room to lateron mount the oil tank containing 20 litres hydraulic fluid.
Why this amount?
First to dissipate the heat instead of an extra cooler and second to have enough oil to operate hydraulic cylinders or else to be fitted lateron perhaps.
This is a closeup on the control valve operating the winch.
And here you see the oilfilter ensuring a clean oil and a long life for all of the components.

Today we proudly present first pictures of a LandRover conversion.
This one is being commercially used at forestry and landscape works.
And this is what Power-Trax.de supplied:
- hydraulic winch Ramsey RPH-10.000
- Power-TakeOff for LandRover tranny with professional hydraulic pump (endless power, no servo pump crap)
- enhanced wire rope 9mm / rates 7.1tons to supply 45 meters of rope
- greasable fairlead spring loaded designed for heavy usage and even laid rope on the drum
- and many more thingies!
Take a look at this beatuy!
Just wondering when he's coming up requesting true lockers - this articulation - as nice it may be - won't help him always ;-)
Notice winch and fairlead. Looks cute, but the single fairlead already is more than 5 kilograms of steel!
Rugged bumper.
Here the winch soon will settle and pull the shit out of it all!
Same, from top.
